A set of doors that are typically very wide and provide an unobstructed view of your outside space, sliding doors have a rich global history and application. Whilst examples can be found as far back as the 1st century in Italy, they were ingrained in 14th century Japanese architecture whose sliding partitions called “Shoji” were made out of wood and paper. Whatever the inspiration, sliding doors have stood the test of time.
Today, sliding doors have a modern connotation but our bespoke sliding doors can be tailored to suit both period and modern properties alike. Our bespoke timber sliding doors are packed with traditional features so they fit perfectly into your traditional property whilst our bespoke aluminium sliding doors are as minimalist and luxurious as you would expect.

Our FAQ section covers the most common questions about our Sliding Doors.
Sliding doors come with various configurations and the right configuration will depend on the size of your door and how you want to utilise your outside space. Our team has decades of experience and will guide you through all the various options to find the right sliding door for you.
Both our bespoke sliding doors and bespoke bifold doors are used to connect indoor and outdoor living spaces but differ in the way they open and therefore offer different benefits. Sliding doors, as the name suggests, glide past one another whilst bifold doors concertina together, typically to one side.
Sliding doors are the perfect solution for anyone who wants the ultimate contemporary “glass wall” look or who wishes to balance the benefits of connecting their indoor and outdoor spaces whilst maximising light and unobstructed views. Unlike bifold doors which can detract from your view with their multiple door construction, sliding doors are designed to be minimalist and make your room feel infinitely larger and more spacious.
All of our front doors come equipped with multipoint locking mechanisms which offer enhanced security for your home by distributing any force applied to the door over the various locking points making the effort required for a would be intruder almost prohibitive. In addition to this, we use the highest security barrels available on the market from KABA. These barrels feature several layers of protection to prevent drilling, picking, bumping and extraction, and come with a failsafe preventing forced override. In addition to this, all of our doors can be specified to PAS24 standards.
When researching sliding doors, you will no doubt come across the terms “inline” and “lift & slide” and this is simply referring to their sliding operation. Inline sliding doors are, as you would expect, doors that slide along a track, whereas the lift and slide sliding door is raised through advanced gearing when opened which allows for a slightly more effortless operation. Our timber doors are all inline sliding doors, whereas our aluminium sliding doors can be either inline or lift and slide. The benefits of an inline system are that they are able to offer bigger doors whereas the benefit of a lift & slide system is the lightweight feel.

Our bespoke timber sliding doors are constructed using sustainably sourced FSC® Certified wood. The timber goes through an extensive process, honed in Scandinavia, before it is used to construct your sliding door. All of our timber is kiln dried, planed and free of any defects such as knots. Each piece is then glued and laminated together to create an Engineered Timber. It is these incredibly strong and stable sections which are then used to make your sliding door. Alternatively we are also able to offer many designs and configurations in premium grade aluminium for a lightweight yet durable modern aesthetic.
